Do you like to go fishing? Want some big exposure? We are a Florida based fishing magazine that features women fishing. Two things are required to become a GAFF Girl. 1) that you have a bikini swimsuit figure. 2) is you like to fish. Or at least can smile like you like to fish. We need a good and genuine smile. If you need to, practice in a mirror before the shoot. It can mean the difference of a cover or not.
We shoot natural, meaning we do not bring a make up artist along, you can put on your own if you like, just be prepared for the wind. Oh and yes you actually have to fish. We will teach you how to cast and hold a rod and reel.
Most girls thoroughly enjoy this fun time out on the water fishing resulting in a two full pages in and or on the cover of our magazine that is in thousands of stores and seen by over 150 thousand people! We have had two of our girls get picked up by Maxim after seeing them in our mag.
You can run to your favorite store and pick up a copy of the magazine. Notice if you are contacted by someone who says they are shooting for GAFF then please check their name with the names listed in the masthead of the magazine. If in doubt then please contact us directly. We do not allow a people to shoot in our name without a GAFF staffperson on scene.
We normally shoot video while fishing, just like a fishing TV show. If you are a ham this is the perfect time for you. Being vocal is important here. We also take some still shots, especially with the fish. You can see the past stills and videos on girlsofgaff.com An average shoot lasts 6 to 8 hours. So bring your lotions, hat, light jacket, towel, and sunglasses. Also take Dramamine or Bonine if you get sea sick on those offshore shoots. Only bring the essentials on the boat; most likely it will get wet.
The boat captain will take care of the super icky stuff if you are so inclined not to touch the bait. You do however have to touch the icky sea critter for the shot. Don't worry the guy operating the boat is a licensed fishing captain in the state of Florida. He takes people out fishing with all levels of experience as his full time job.
You choose your own suit(s) and solid colors usually work the best. However it can not be a thong or T-back. Small or meduim cut but not T-back. Plus we are not big on suits you might use at a strip club. We are in Wal-Mart and have to keep it clean. Also some boats do not have a room to change in. So if you are shy and don't want to change behind a towel, then we suggest you wear your favorite. If you want our opinion we can look at them before we get on the boat.
Escorts are fine to meet us at the boat ramp. However 99% of the time we do not have room on the boat for them. We normally take 2 or 3 girls out at one time. Plus 1 or 2 guys from the GAFF staff and then a boat captain and sometimes a first mate. If our reputation as an established publisher does not make you comfortable then please contact us and we can put you in touch with some past models.
Most of our girls do it just for fun, or are looking to enhance their portfolios with magazine pages or a cover shot. We handle some travel expenses and food and drink, but we'll have to negotiate if you are looking for more.
The way the photos work are that GAFF owns all of the usage rights. We have you sign a standard model release. You of course will get copies of the magazine. And we can give you photos on CD with GAFF copyright on the photos that we use on the website. Usually we use 10 to 15 shots on the website. Most girls just use the actual printed page from the magazine in their portfolio.
